FreeSide is a student run project at the University of Hull (http://www.hull.ac.uk/) to offer free in both beer and speech Unix, Open and Alternative computing services to the student population of the University.

We offer:

  • A Freeside Wordpress Blog
  • SSH access to Linux Servers
  • Web hosting with popular scripting languages (300Mb, but increasable on request)
  • SFTP file hosting
  • X-Forwarding of popular UNIX applications
  • IRC servers
  • MySQL databases
  • Jabber servers with AIM, YIM, WLM, ICQ, GTalk support
  • Linux virtual machines for development
